PROOF OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES

FINANCIAL RESOURCES :- 8,700 EUROS FOR ONE YEAR
Before you begin your studies, International students will have to prove that you have enough money to support themselves. The document you need is called a "Finanzierungsnachweis", or proof of monetary resources. You are asked for it when you apply for an entry visa. At the latest, you will need to present it when you apply for a residence permit in Germany. In most cases, candidates have to prove that they have around 8,700 Euros at their disposal for one year.

There are a number of ways to show that you can finance your studies. The following forms of proof are possible:
  • Student’s parents have to submit the documents validating their income and financial assets.
  • Someone with permanent residence in Germany can guarantee the Alien Registration Office to cover your expenses (would be an advantage).
  • security payment can be deposited into a bank account.
  • You can present a bank guarantee.

TIPS FOR OPENING A ACCOUNT

Many international candidates use a account to finance their studies in Germany. It's called a "blocked account" because the money deposited into the account cannot be taken out until you have arrived in Germany.
It is relatively easy to open a blocked account. There are a few points you should remember:
  • Apply early enough
  • Have the application and required documents certified
  • Open your account
  • Withdraw money

Scholarships

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMMES FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

A wide range of institutions in Germany offer scholarships to international students, e.g. the DAAD, party-affiliated foundations, religious organizations and monetary enterprises.

The scholarship programmes focused at German and foreign students, graduates and researchers. The DAAD and most other institutions for that matter do not provide scholarships for full degree programmes, i.e. from the first to the last semester. The selection process is very accurate and first-time students are rarely acceptable for funding. You should hold in mind that no applicant is ever entitled to a scholarship!

ERASMUS+

Erasmus+ is a new programme, funded by the European Union, which develop European student exchange, general and professional education, youth and sports. You can obtain more knowledge and cooperation with application procedures and submission deadlines from the at your university. With Erasmus+, you receive a scholarship installment each month. Your home university determines the exact amount according to guidelines provided by the European Commission. As an Erasmus+ student, you are exempt from paying tuition fees at your host university. The conditions and requirements for student exchange are designated in mutual agreements between universities. This means that if you wish to apply for Erasmus+ funding to study in Germany, you will be a guest student at a partner university, with which your home university has signed an Erasmus+ agreement. Internships at different organizations and companies are also suitable for funding.
